What is a Health Coach?
Health Coaches support clients by looking at internal strengths and external resources to make sustainable and healthy lifestyle changes. Using behavior change theories, motivational strategies, and health education, Health Coaches support the client in creating and sustaining change for improved health and well-being. Health Coaches use a client-centered approach as clients decide their goals, engage in self-discovery or active learning processes, and self-monitor behaviors to increase accountability, all within the context of an interpersonal relationship with a health coach.
